Serving communities by meeting spiritual, physical, social and educational needs through football.

About Us

Aslan Football Club started in June 2009 when three friends had a casual kick around on a Saturday morning.

Mark, Bernie and Steve shared a dream – to help the local community through free football coaching. They received funding from a local church and haven’t looked back.

Aslan FC provides coaching for anyone regardless of age, religion or ethnicity. Sessions are structured by age group and involve fitness, skills, training and games. The coaches place importance on forming good relationships with the players and their families. There is a strong emphasis on respect, fair play and teamwork.

Today Aslan FC is affiliated to Middlesex County Football Association with six coaches. All coaches are CRB checked with a mix of FA accredited coaching qualifications. The Club holds the ActiveWestminister Mark and is working to achieve the FA Charter award. Partnerships have been developed with local organisations including Westminster Sport Unit, Volunteer Action Westminster and Greenwich Leisure Limited.

In November 2011 Aslan FC Co-founder & Director Mark was awarded the ActiveWestminster Active Resident Award 2011 for work done in serving the community through Aslan FC.

2011 also saw the launch of the Aslan 30, a developmental squad of 16-25 year olds led by Alan. In autumn the team entered the London Football 11-a-side Mid-Week League, a local adults competitive league. Aslan FC eventually finished as the Division One Champions 2011/12 in February 2012, earning automatic promotion to the Premier Division along with scooping up awards for Player of the Season (Hugo), Goalkeeper of the Season (Marco) and Defence of the Season.
